Morning Coffee, Sunshine & The Sounds of Spring
There is something special about a spring morning and June just happens to be my favourite month of the year.
The gentle chorus of birds welcoming a new day. The rustle of fresh green leaves moving in the breeze…or my favourite sound, my kids playing with each other outside while my husband and I enjoy our morning coffee together. Simple, but so meaningful.
Spring is a season that reminds us to slow down and appreciate the little things.
Every so often, we think of hearing as something we need for conversations or watching TV, but hearing is deeply connected to our life experiences and our memories. It’s the soundtrack of our lives. It’s the familiar sounds that bring comfort, joy and a sense of connection to the world around us.
Many people are surprised to discover that the first sounds they begin missing with hearing changes are often soft, subtle ones like birds singing outside the window, the bubbling of a coffee maker or a family member’s voice from another room. Because these changes happen so gradually, it’s easy to adapt without even realizing how much we’ve been missing.
If your morning coffee has become quieter than it used to be or you find yourself turning up the volume or asking people to repeat themselves more often, it may be time to check in on your hearing.
A hearing assessment is a simple, yet effective way to provide valuable information about your hearing health and help you continue enjoying the sounds that make life richer.
Take a moment to sit outside with your favourite mug of coffee. Close your eyes and listen. What do you hear?
The answer might be a beautiful reminder of why your hearing health matters. The soundtrack of spring is one worth hearing.
